Appeal to Superstition
The devil cares about the deep state!
More jibber jabber from Dave Daubenmire: the "deep
state" is "the arm of the devil" (maybe because neither exist?)
and "people are waking up" and conspiracies are more
"mainstream" and so they are putting "America first" and
making "America great again" and the "globalists" are
alarmed because now everyone knows what they're up to and watch out because
they will come after you.
Here is yet another example of someone who sees the world
differently from me. I don't know if there's a deep state and have no reason to
believe there is anything like the devil, so all the rest of what he says can
be put down to humans trying to figure out their world. Some realize they have
an opportunity to take power; others fear they will lose rights; despite having
the internet, we can't know everything and there is a lot of misinformation to
sift through. People have biased thinking, so even with good information, they
can come to erroneous conclusions.
We're supposed to fear these "globalists" with
their agenda, and I'm guessing Davey here means spirit of the anti-Christ or
Satan when he says globalist. I don't know why a deity would care that much
about nationalist sentiment. Old timey Yahweh back in the Pentateuch cared
about Israel and all, he really was a classical deity with his chosen people
and pet favorites like Abraham and Moses. But, where is the Biblical basis to
say he cares about the US? Christians are all over the globe, so it already is
a global religion.
Of course, reason doesn't matter in these discussions.
Religion is a cover for biased thinking. It is impossible to argue against a
god. My god tells me these things and
he's all-knowing! It stops argument because a supernatural entity does not
need to follow the rules humans follow.
One of the main goals of words like Daubenmire said on his
show is to appeal to the superstitious side of humans. We are all susceptible
to irrational thoughts, and it takes some practice to identify them and put
them to rest. However, when you are indoctrinated to believe there is a
supernatural deity controlling your life and an otherworldly villain tempting
you away from the right path, all bets are off. Superstition wins.
